It all started when a friend of mine asked me: What do couples do when bored? I knew I had to write an article about it!
Things to do with your boyfriend can be a lot of fun if you do them right. But sometimes it can be difficult to figure out what to do.
The actual truth of what couples do when bored is not as pleasant as you think it is (we will talk about that some other time). But instead, I want to answer another question that can lead to a more helpful answer, it is about “What can couples do when bored at home?”.
Some things are pretty usual that a lot of couples are advised to do. Just because they are usually, does not mean that they’re boring, or generic in any way. On the contrary, they are fun things, which is one of the reasons why they’re done ‘usually’.
There are so many amazing things you can do, you have no idea! Seriously! I will show you what exactly those things are, and not just things to do with your boyfriend at home, I will show you that and much more.
Season vs Activity – Tips
As you already know a certain season can impose on your activities. Now it is the same with activities/things you want to do with your boyfriend (I’m not talking about sex).
Tip numero uno: Before you decide to do something, consider the weather, and the season.
Let’s say a good fall activity would be a long walk somewhere in nature. Or a good winter activity would be snow fighting, building a snowman, or making snow angels.
Tip number two: Try to make the most out of the things that the season offers. Example: The winter has snow (in most countries), so why not take the chance to do something fun? Something romantic would be going out while it is lightly snowing, even dancing, why not?
General Things to Consider When in a Relationship
A relationship is not only built by the activities you do with your partner. It is deeper than that, so before we jump into the fun, sweet, romantic activities you can do with your partner, you have to consider a few things my dear friend:
Communicating with your partner. It is about expressing and sharing things with your partner. Communicating doesn’t necessarily have to be verbal (though it is a good form of sharing things); You can do it through little gestures and actions. The thing is to get and give understanding.
Understand one another. A healthy relationship is made out of two understanding people, or two people at least TRYING to understand one another.
Give gifts to one another. It is part of those little gestures I mentioned above. It is also a form of communication. I wrote “give” on purpose, you don’t have to just buy something expensive (though there’s nothing wrong with that), you can make something for them and show affection through the gift you’re giving.
Show that you care about them through certain gestures. Gifts, telling them you’re there for them, hugging, kissing, a cup of coffee out of nowhere because you know they’re tired, a little help when you can, etc. It is in everything that you do the indication that you do care (or not) about them.
