Will Smith and Jade Pinkett have given up on their marriage for almost a decade? Say what now?
Does that mean the slap at the Oscars was nothing? Was it just for the show?
The exes, or husband and wife, let’s call them by both names since they still are trying to figure out what they are, have been separated since 2016!!!!
It is weird to hear this because Will Smith not long ago took to Instagram to wish Jade a happy birthday with sweet look-back snaps. I know we all are shocked.
Let’s include Jada in the Instagram world too. Just six weeks ago she posted cute pictures of the Smith family celebrating her memoir and two weeks ago she wished Smith a happy birthday, HeTexted.com reports.
So how do we put two and two together to accept the fact that these two are over?
They are not divorced. That won’t be happening. When the couple got married, Jade made a promise to Will that there would never be a reason for the two to divorce.
Somehow she can not let go of that promise even though their marriage ran its course due to many reasons.
The thought to file for divorce has crossed her mind but she just can not go with it.
“Why it fractured…that — that’s a lot of things … By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be” said Pinkett.
News of their broken marriage was revealed due to the release of the memoir Jade wrote titled ‘Worthy’.
The actress gave the details about her love life in an interview with Hoda Kotb on NBC News.
Arguing, bad moments unfaithfulness have been more in their cards and somehow everyone missed it.
So, back in 2011, Smith decided to show a documentary to close friends and family about their wife’s family history, going all the way back to when they were slaves.
But, turns out, the wife wasn’t too thrilled about it. The arguing started somewhere there and it will get more interesting!
Fast forward to 2020, Pinkett openly talks about the ‘fling’ she had with August Alsina a while back, when she and Will were going through a rough patch and taking some time apart.
Will was rumored to be in this sort of a fling with Margot Robbie after some pictures were posted to which people have said that married men should not do that.
For ages, everyone assumed that these two had themselves an open marriage. Jada shut those rumors down back in 2013.
Then Will came in with his little denial dance in 2015 that they ain’t getting divorced. Little did we know they were gonna split a year later!

For 7 years they have been spotted together at events hand in hand, sharing kisses and cute moments here and there. So how?

Since their marriage in 1997, they have always been by each other’s side at all of the events. It is freaky to think that there is a big possibility that the support and everything else has been staged since 2016.

When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, he was protecting his “wife” whom he had separated from.
Does this even make sense at this point? Jada Smith, don’t know if we can call her that anymore has talked about this thing.
She has said that she too was surprised that Will had done what he had done. And that the only thought in her head was that ‘This is a skit’ which was not.
At the same time, she revealed that the comedian had asked her out after he had heard some news that she and Smith were spending some time away from one another
The internet is now going crazy, saying things such as how Will does not deserve this and how his reputation is ruined by her.
A lot of fans have taken to different platforms to express how they feel about this situation and many are blaming Jada for the break-up.

The bombshell that Jada dropped has made a lot of fans turn on their investigative sides. On TikTok, they shared a lot of videos where they shine light on more things about the couple.
Like that one fact that Jada did not want to get married. It is true she has spoken about the marriage ritual in the show ‘Red Table Talk’. Pinkett did not want a wedding.
The thing is that the fanbase is saying that she did not want to get married to Willard because she was more into street boys, like 2Pac for example, for whom she has an undeniable love.
Also, some pictures have been bombarding the internet where Jada is letting her male energy come out, making it more believable that she is the dominant one in the relationship.
Still, this does not change anything. By the looks of it, The Smiths will continue to support and love each other like they always have all these years.
Willard Smith and Jada Pinkett first met in 1994, three years later they tied the knot after Smith divorced his ex-wife. The duo shares two children together, including a third one from Will’s previous marriage.
