...So Now I'm Wondering?
We've been hanging out a lot for the past few months and recently started getting closer. He told a mutual friend about a week ago that he hasn't "officially" asked me to be his gf yet cause he wants to give me more time to get past things with my ex but I am so over him. Should I leave the ball in his court now?

I appreciate everyone's comments but I just wanted to clear up that my plans with him were not to go out to dinner, he was going at have dinner with his parents and then meet up with me after.

Rating 0well, anyone who wants you to be their girlfriend and is hungry at that point of time, should be able to go out with and have a meal together. This guy is not interested. if he was, he should have just said it, but he is still giving the 'waiting period' just so that he can find someone else. I am so sorry to tell you this but leave the court. The guy is not worth it.
