It was like a movie...now what?
Now I'm Wondering
I met this guy at a summer job. We hit it off, and I developed a huge crush on him. I always felt like he was flirting with me, but it wasn't obvious enough for me to do anything. After the summer was over, we kept in touch as friends, and I went to Europe to study abroad. Halfway through, I find out he's in Europe for unrelated reasons and decided to come visit me for a week. It went great--I found out he felt the same way, we hooked up, and we spent the entire week doing cutesy dates and holding hands.
Problem is, I still have a year and a half left in college and he lives...across the country. We talked things over, and neither of us want to jump into a long distance thing, but we agreed to keep in touch. We also are making plans to visit each other. Essentially, we decided that while we're together, we're "together", despite not officially dating. After I graduate, there's a strong chance I'll live near him due to career reasons.
I don't have any doubts about our feelings. I've never felt more comfortable with someone than him, and I have every indication to believe he adores me. I'm just not sure what to do now. The uncertainty of it is freaking me out. Do I go on dates with other people? Do I wait for him? Would trying to figure out specifics of us visiting each other seem clingy? Any advice greatly appreciated.
